San Francisco International Airport adds direct seasonal flights to Fiji
Fiji Airways, voted Best Airline in the South Pacific as awarded by Global Traveler, has made San Francisco the airline’s third U.S. destination, joining Los Angeles and Honolulu. Beginning this summer, Fiji Airways will offer twice-weekly direct services from San Francisco to Nadi, Fiji. The direct flights from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) will launch June 16, 2016 and run through August 14. The service will resume again December 15 and continue through January 15, 2017. Fiji Airways will fly one round-trip flight each Thursday and Sunday during its seasonal schedules.
A popular fly-in destination for U.S. travelers
Fiji is fast becoming a coveted destination for Americans, wooing visitors with a pristine tropical setting, warm Pacific waters, lush topography, and authentic hospitality. Fijian Attorney General and Minister for Public Enterprises and Civil Aviation, the Honourable Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said:
“Fiji is already a popular holiday destination for Americans, especially those from California. The new San Francisco direct flights will allow even more visitors—including former Fiji residents—to visit our home, its beaches, its multitude of experiences, but most importantly, the world-renowned hospitality of the Fijian people.”
