Marine Scientist Joins Nanuku Resort

September 15th, 2017

In our latest video, we asked Kelly-Dawn Bentley, Nanuku Resort Fiji’s newly hired Marine Scientist, about her passion for the ocean and its amazing creatures, and Nanuku’s proactive “Planet Nanuku” environmental programs that she leads.

A Fijian national, Kelly-Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Science from the University of the South Pacific. She has coordinated local mangrove restoration and reforestation projects and has worked with schools and the community to build awareness on climate change, marine pollution, and conservation.

At Nanuku Resort Fiji, Kelly-Dawn engages nature-loving guests to participate in activities like coral and mangrove planting, reef restoration, shore protections, and Nanuku’s turtle conservation program, all of which are as rewarding as they are educational.

Additional interviews with Nanuku leadership are available on our Youtube channel.
